Quarterly Update - December 2024
Dear residents and community members,
As the year draws to an end, it’s a good time to update you about what’s been achieved in the final quarter of 2024, and to look ahead to 2025.
The Coles supermarket is really beginning to take shape, with pre-cast concrete panels up and slabs now being poured. Watch this space for announcements about the other future tenants at Mambourin Marketplace, which is set to open in Q3 next year.
Progressing just as quickly is the Good News Lutheran College Prep to Year 12 school. Building one is almost complete, with furniture and fittings now going in ready for the first students to arrive in Term One next year. The playground is finished, and work is underway on the outdoor basketball court. The two-storey building two is well advanced and expected to open in mid-2025.
In the town centre, the Aspire Childcare centre is coming along quickly, and expected to open in 2025, while the neighbouring 7-Eleven convenience store and petrol station is already open for business.
Nearby, the signalised intersection of Black Forest Rd and the future Delama Blvd is also now open.
The refurbishment of the Mambourin Discovery Centre is complete, with the centre now handling information and sales for both Mambourin and our future sister community of Mambourin Green.
Despite some extremely wet weather, more than 400 people attended our family-friendly party at the Discovery Centre to launch the new Mambourin Green community on November 30, with kids enjoying the pony rides, face-painting and butterfly enclosure.
Our Christmas lights competition is now well underway, with judging to take place the week before Christmas. And don’t forget Food Truck Fridays, back for summer on the second Friday of each month from 5pm to 8pm in the Club Mambourin carpark.
You can find out which food vendor is coming, and about other events here on the Mambourin Facebook page.
The State Government reports work on the Ison Road Extension is set to begin in 2025. The extension will connect to the Ison Road Overpass, which is already underway. The extension, a State Government and Wyndham City Council project, is a 1.3km, four lane road between the new overpass and the Geelong Road freeway interchange at Werribee.
As usual we will continue to update residents via email and keep the community engaged via Facebook. If you live outside Mambourin but would like to receive updates by email, please sign up at www.frasersproperty.com.au/VIC/Mambourin/Contact or contact us on 13 38 38.
I’d like to wish you and your family a holiday season full of joy, and I look forward to seeing our community grow even more vibrant in 2025.
