Ed.Square’s first residents will move into the trendy new development later this year, with the structure of its tallest apartment building now complete. The 13-storey Emerson building — the tallest structure in stage one of the Ed.Square project in Edmondson Park — was recently topped off, marking a milestone in the construction process.

Residents are set to move in during the third quarter of 2020, when stage one of Ed.Square town centre is opened. The development is being touted as a game-changing community offering an inner-city lifestyle in Sydney’s southwest, with restaurants, cafes, green space and other amenities as well as easy access to Edmondson Park train station.

Frasers Property Australia design director George Massoud said residents will enjoy the convenience of living close to the town centre’s Eat Street, Event Cinemas and Central Park.“Ed.Square will bring a little bit of Surry Hills to the southwest,” Mr Massoud said. “Residents will be able to walk out their door and be minutes from everything they need, whether that is medical facilities, a pharmacy, gym, childcare, community centre, cinemas or places to eat.”

The project is offering a mix of housing with 991 apartments and 893 terraces and townhomes, and more than six hectares of open space. Stage one of the town centre will feature 25,000sqm of retail space and include a Coles supermarket, a Liquorland store and an Event Cinemas complex. Stage two will add 15,000sqm more retail space with the completed town centre to include more than 120 shops.
