Carole Pedemont used to see the billboard from the train on the way in to work every morning: “Ed is coming”.
“I had no idea what it was, so I looked it up. Then someone at work started talking about having just purchased nearby and how good it was, so I did more research and liked it straight away.”
She and husband Allan Cox recently purchased a two-bedroom apartment in Ed.Square. While they’re both still working as guards for Sydney Trains, the apartment will be a weeknight crash pad for the pair. They then plan to live in it permanently after retirement.

“There is also a train station literally across the road from us – it perfectly fit what we were looking for.
“I’m the sort of person who looks at every real estate website, every house sold. If there are new developments anywhere I research them, and I’ve done that for many years just out of personal interest.
“Ed.Square was exactly what we were looking for.”
The pair currently live in the Southern Highlands with their two children, 17 and 19. Carole said Ed.Square is a perfect retirement plan for them, while using the family home as a place to get away on weekends.
