Ed.Square attracts first home buyers, investors and owner-occupiers.
More than 4000 expressions of interest have flooded in for southwest Sydney’s newest urban centre, Edmondson Square.
The project, which is being developed by Frasers Property Australia at Edmondson Park, will comprise a mix of housing styles including 992 apartments and 890 terraces and townhouses, a 68m residential tower and more than six hectares of open space.
Located next to Edmondson Park railway station, the development is being touted as game changer for southwest Sydney, offering amenities, entertainment and retail within walking distance.
Frasers NSW sales and marketing director Dino Carulli said the volume of EOIs — representing more than double the number of dwellings set to be built at the site — did not come as a surprise.
“We’re pleased without being surprised. We’ve been working towards this point for over a year now,” he said.
Mr Carulli said feedback from community open days showed people were interested not only in the housing options on offer, but the vision for the town centre.
“The majority of people are interested in the bulk of the project we want to deliver.”
Most dwellings are set to be priced below $750,000.
Mr Carulli said there was an “even mix” of owner-occupiers, first home buyers and investors who had expressed interest in the project.
With interest coming from across Sydney, Ed. Square represented “a significantly different offering in the marketplace” to the traditional house and land package, he said.
Pricing and floorplans are anticipated to be available next month with the first residents expected to move in late 2019.
