Exciting news for the growing community of Edmondson Park! The new Edmondson Park High School has officially received State Significant Development (SSD) approval, marking a significant step forward in the project’s development. Richard Crookes Construction has been awarded the construction contract for the new school, which is set to open on Day 1 of Term 1, 2027.

The new high school will serve up to 800 students and is part of the NSW Government’s broader commitment to revitalizing public education. In the 2024-25 Budget, the government is delivering a record $3.6 billion in funding for new and upgraded schools in Western Sydney. This investment is designed to ensure that growing communities have access to world-class educational facilities, providing students with modern, well-equipped learning environments.

The Department of Education is working on the new high school to include fit-for-purpose classrooms and essential facilities, meeting the needs of the Edmondson Park area and supporting the rapidly growing population in South-West Sydney. The project is on track for completion by the start of Term 1 in 2027.

The approval from the NSW Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure (DPHI) is an important milestone, and with the construction contract awarded to Richard Crookes Construction, work will begin soon to bring this vital project to life.

This new school will ensure that students in the area have access to high-quality education and modern facilities to support their learning and development.
