Community Update October 2024
Welcome to our October Community Update. Get ready for an exciting line-up of community activities and events just around the corner! See what’s in-store below and find out what construction works are currently taking place at Frasers Landing.
Mandurah Community Garden
This wonderful community asset is just across the road from the Frasers Landing Community Centre. It continues to go from strength to strength with something for everyone! You can support the garden by investing in an annual membership for as little as $20. Check out their website for more details: https://www.mandurahcommunitygardens.com.au/
And there’s more! How about a tool and book library! Mandurah Community Garden offers members and friends of the garden more great resources for all things gardening. They have an extensive collection of gardening books and magazines to borrow and now a hand tool and gardening tool library.
Pop in any Saturday morning to pick up books or tools for your job, then return it in a fortnight. Watch their gorgeous video here: https://fb.watch/vdN1WKGqFn/.
This busy hub also has a Containers for Change program, donations such as potted plants and pots (anything for gardening to avoid landfill), worm products for sale and training on worms (booking is required), children’s play area, seeds for sale, and coffee and tea. Potter around the garden and take a look at the list of needed jobs on the blackboard.

GENERAL WORKS IN THE COMMUNITY
Rivers Edge Stage 4 Parkland
A parkland, which is included as part of Stage 4 Rivers Edge is now complete and ready for the community to enjoy. Head on down with the children and a picnic for some family time or take a quiet stroll along the river’s edge. How many birds do you recognise that make Frasers Landing their home?
Forest Walk Stage 4B
Stage 4B in Forest Walk, which is located opposite the sales centre, is continuing on program and is due for completion towards the end of the year. Stage 4 Rivers Edge is also due for completion at the end of the year.
Our landscaping contractors are undertaking some additional planting along verge areas to locations whereby most of construction works are complete. Additionally, some Bushfire Management works will commence in November to bushland alongside Hamlets 2 and 3, along Lakewood Parkway near Bickley Crescent and between the lake and the houses on Pardoo Lane.
Future Works
We have recently released Forest Walk Stage 9 to market and construction commenced in October for this stage. Completion is not due until approximately April 2025. This stage is located between Angelo Road and Lakewood Parkway and includes a central Public Open Space. Flora and Fauna relocation was undertaken prior to any clearing commencing.
Snap Send Solve
Snap Send Solve is a mobile app designed to make reporting community issues quick and easy. It allows users to report problems like potholes, graffiti, damaged public property, or waste management issues directly to local councils or relevant authorities.
Here's how it works:
Snap: Users take a photo of the issue they want to report.
Send: The app uses GPS to automatically identify the location of the problem and sends the report, along with the photo, to the appropriate authority.
Solve: The relevant council or service provider receives the report and takes action to resolve the issue.
The app streamlines the process of reporting community concerns, making it more efficient for both users and local authorities. It's available for free from the App Store.
Examples of what to report:
- Dumping of rubbish
- Damaged roads
- Illegal Parking
- Damaged Communication Pits
- Graffiti
- Abandoned Trolleys
- Fallen Trees
