Sod turned on Frasers Property's first build-to-rent project in Brisbane
On Monday 28 March 2022, with the help of Queensland Treasurer Cameron Dick, Frasers Property Australia turned the first sod on its new Brunswick & Co. build-to-rent development in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane.
It’s a project promising to redefine renting, and part of the experience for residents will be a 100% carbon neutral all-electric energy supply provided by Real Utilities.
Brunswick & Co. will comprise 366 studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments across 25 levels. With its rooftop pool and dog park, outdoor terraces, library, cinema/karaoke room, cocktail bar, dining and entertainment areas, co-working office areas, fitness centre and treatment room, Brunswick & Co. will provide people a new way of renting in one of Brisbane’s most vibrant, diverse pockets.
It will also integrate a Real Utilities embedded network so residents enjoy the benefits of cheaper, greener, simpler energy solutions.
A 40kW solar PV installation will generate renewable energy on-site which will be complemented by off-site renewable energy sourced from Australian solar and wind farms to provide residents a 100% Climate Active-certified carbon neutral energy supply..
“Brunswick & Co. aims to redefine the renting experience for people and the cost-efficient carbon neutral energy Real Utilities will provide to residents will be a key ingredient in this experience,” Real Utilities General Manager Paolo Bevilacqua says.
“Build-to-rent is an emerging asset class in the Australian market. We will investigate new opportunities to add value to new BTR projects, through our involvement in the early design process to understand renewable energy generation opportunities, owning and operating embedded energy infrastructure in developments, and providing carbon neutral energy to residents,” he says.
For the residents who will call Brunswick & Co. home from 2024, Real Utilities is proud to contribute to a better rental experience.
