Charity Run Close to Home - The Daily Grind
The Daily Grind is an initiative being driven by the family of former WAFL and AFL umpire Mike Ball, who lost his battle with Alzheimer’s Disease on 11 December 2021, at just 66 years of age. Mike's son, Jamie, will lead the daily grind campaign from the 28th of November (Mike's birthday) until the 11th of December (Mike's passing) where he will run an average of over 50kms a day from Albany to Port Coogee in memory of his Dad.
His aim is to raise funds and awareness for The Dementia Support Network of WA. Check out their website about how to participate or stop by their Facebook page.
UPDATE: On Monday December 11 sometime between 4.30pm and 5.30pm, Jamie will finish his run on the Port Coogee Sales Centre grassed Area. Make sure you pop down to support this momentous effort!
