What a fantastic year it's been for our committee, as we continue to build strong relationships with local authorities and community groups. We are working closely with the council to tackle various infrastructure challenges across the community. Recent drainage improvements have been made at Northshore Park, and a temporary solution has been implemented for the sinking road near the bus stop, with plans for more permanent fixes in the near future. The refuge crossing decks on MacArthur Ave North are also scheduled for repair. While we don’t yet have a specific timeline, we will keep the community informed as soon as we receive confirmation. Additionally, lighting will be installed outside the café's restroom to improve visibility and security in that area.
It was wonderful to be joined by neighbours at the inaugural RIVA Kitchen monthly resident lunch. It’s a relaxed and casual gathering, and we’d love to see even more residents attend the next lunch, so stay tuned for the announcement. We also want to express our gratitude to Josie and the team at RIVA for supporting the community association through the Containers for Change donation program. We’re excited to share how we’ll use these funds for upcoming community events in the months ahead. Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a joyful New Year!
