Shell Cove Construction Update - Nautilus Apartments

Nautilus – December 2023

Welcome to the final construction update of 2023!​

We’re pleased to keep you informed about how the project is progressing, give you insights into the construction process and ensure you’re up to date with the development of your new community.

Building A

Now that the scaffold has been removed, works continue to progress on the façade with final detailing and cleaning, while access to the ground floor terraces have been provided.

The main ground floor lobby entries are progressing with walls, waterproofing and floor tiling underway.​

Internal fit-out works continue with tiling nearing completion on Level 5. The tilers will then move to the L4 and L5 balconies to complete paving.​

The lower levels (L1 – L3) are nearing completion with bathroom fit-off, lighting installation and commissioning underway in many apartments. Paving is also complete on most balconies.​


Building A - Level 4 – Bathroom in progress

Initial commissioning testing is underway on electrical, air-conditioning and hot water systems.​

Quality Assurance inspections by FPA have been completed on Ground Floor and are underway on Level 1. These inspections are an integral part of our commitment to delivering a high-quality project that meets industry standards.

Building B

The planting of the Level 4 roof terrace is completed while the feature timber wall panelling to the gym is underway.​


Southern Elevation

The roof terrace (& L1 podium) pergolas are due for installation in early December.​

Lobbies and corridors are progressing with carpet and lighting installed and apartment entry doors being painted.​

The Contractor is nearing completion of all defect rectification and outstanding works as FPA has commenced QA2 inspections of the Ground Floor apartments.

Podium & verge works​

The glazed pool fence has been installed with waterproofing all but complete to the L1 podium.​

Paving has started and will continue through to Christmas.​

The L1 podium planter boxes and coreten steel sheeting is completed with initial planting also done.​

Ground floor external terrace waterproofing is underway but has been hampered by recent rain.​

The external footpath subgrade has been installed and compacted, with the construction of the surrounding Council footpath to continue through to Christmas.​

Settlement Update

Settlements for Building B are anticipated to commence from Feb 2024 with a staged approach, followed by Building A which are anticipated to commence in March 2024 in the same staged approach.​

The next construction update will be sent to you in the new year in February, 2024.​
