Our Community investments

At Frasers Property Australia, our values of being real, collaborative, respectful and innovative come to life in the way we invest in our communities. Working together with the people who live and work in the places we create, we identify programs and initiatives that make a real difference to their lives and lifestyles.

Combined with tangible investments, it’s about us recognising and respecting what our customers deserve and sharing in those benefits through the long-term success of the stronger, smarter, happier neighbourhoods we belong to.

The Great Separation

A few years ago, we embarked on a journey to reframe our ambition as a business. We came to conclude that our purpose at Frasers Property is to create belonging—because we believe our future depends on how we live life together.

This purpose has reshaped our efforts toward community creation and deepened our understanding of the barriers to belonging today. We’ve found that loneliness and disconnection are significant and worrying issues, with profound consequences on long-term health and wellbeing.

The more we learned, the more it became clear that there was a powerful story to tell about what’s happening to our social bonds and how we can take steps to build more meaningful connections.

That story has taken shape in the form of a groundbreaking social insights documentary: The Great Separation, funded by Frasers Property Australia and created with the directorial oversight of award-winning filmmaker Shannon Swan and cultural observer Simon Hammond.

The film is available now to stream free on SBS On Demand.

Frasers Property Australia partners with Ending Loneliness Together

Through the making of The Great Separation, Frasers Property were introduced to Dr. Michelle Lim, Scientific Chair of Ending Loneliness Together. Bonded by a shared belief in the importance of belonging on people's health, wellbeing, and human potential, a new partnership was born. We're proud to announce our partnership, sharing the news that Frasers Property Australia has signed on to become the leading neighbourhood creation advisor to the nation’s peak body on loneliness. Through our partnership we’ll share experiences from our neighbourhoods based on people-centric design principles and community development initiatives. In return, Frasers Property has access to the latest evidence-based research and insights from Ending Loneliness Together, adding our voice to the movement to raise awareness and create positive change.

Neighbours Every Day with Relationships Australia

In the next evolution of our commitment to promoting social connections in our communities, Frasers Property Australia has become an official partner of Relationships Australia’s community connection campaign, Neighbours Every Day. Neighbours Every Day is about promoting the benefits of social connection and building capacity for people to make and maintain respectful relationships and as a partner, Frasers Property is now acknowledged by Relationships Australia as a ‘Very Neighbourly Organisation’.

Across our communities nationally, we’ll be hosting a series of events in support of the campaign and its annual day of action. Relationships Australia shares its findings from the campaign each year with its Very Neighbourly Organisation partners, and we’ll report back our findings in terms of participation and success stories. Importantly, this data will provide new insights into the way we design and implement our community building programs in the future.

Supporting the Property Industry Foundation

Frasers Property Australia is a proud supporter of the important work of the Property Industry Foundation, providing tangible solutions to address youth homelessness. In partnership with the Property Industry Foundation, Frasers Property has delivered three homes for disadvantaged youths and live-in carers at Clayton and Bonbeach in Victoria, and Blacktown in New South Wales as part of The Haven Project.

Our Group Chief Operating Officer, Anthony Boyd, serves on the Property Industry Foundation Board, helping to ensure the Foundation continues to represent the best the industry has to offer in terms of capability and collaboration, to help young people rebuild their lives.

Partnership with Western Sydney University

We’re proud to partner with Western Sydney University’s School of Built Environment to offer the Frasers Property Master of Architecture (Urban Transformation) Scholarship for Women. Since 2020, we have provided the two-year, $60,000 scholarship to encourage greater participation among women to pursue careers in design and architecture, so they can help shape the future of our built environment and inspire other women. The scholarship program invites talented young women to gain first-hand experience of our diversified business.

Dedicated Community Development teams

We exist to create belonging in stronger, smarter, happier neighbourhoods. In every Frasers Property Australia neighbourhood, there are dedicated people in the team who embody this purpose, working with local people to create community connections, organise events and instil initiatives that reflect and progress the sense of belonging within our communities. Our Community Development Managers become part of the community, taking time to get to know locals so that the different programs and community investments we make represent a valuable contribution to peoples’ lives.

Encouraging staff volunteering

We always look for opportunities to donate our time and expertise to support communities. Our people do too. Through the Frasers Property Foundation, we provide paid volunteering leave for people to become actively involved in the initiatives that matter to them, with a staff volunteering bank of 500 days available every year for our people to tap into. From opportunities brought to us by our passionate team members to initiatives we get behind as a company, Frasers Property Australia’s people actively contribute to the wellbeing of the communities we belong to.
