Wellness Series - Spring to a better you

As the trees blossom and the days get longer, it’s time to shake off the winter blues and get moving.

Join us for a morning of fitness and fun as we soak in the last of the winter sun. This free community event is the perfect way to kick-start your spring fitness routine, alongside your neighbours. With coffee vouchers and exciting giveaways up for grabs, there's even more reason to join in.

When: Saturday, August 24 from 8am to 10am 

Where: Fig Tree Park, Brookhaven

Bring your water bottle, closed in shoes and towel, and don't forget to slip, slop, slap.

8:00am to 8:45am | Yoga in the park
Take a deep breath and enjoy nature’s calm as you flow through gentle, restorative poses. It's the perfect chance to start the day energised, connect with others, and embrace the serenity of the outdoors.

8:00am to 8:45am | Active walk & talk
Start your day with a refreshing walk and engaging conversation as we explore our community together. It’s a great opportunity to stay active, meet new friends, and enjoy the morning air.

9:00am to 9:45am | Circuit training workshop
Learn how to design your own effective circuit workouts under the guidance of Isaac Rob, a seasoned personal trainer from Second Chance Fitness, giving you the tools to create a balanced and challenging routine tailored to your fitness level.

This activity is funded by the Logan City Council's Active & Healthy Program.

9:00am to 9:45am | Kanga training
A unique workout that combines cardiovascular fitness, strength training, and flexibility, all while keeping your baby close. Designed specifically for new parents, this class allows you to exercise with your baby safely worn on you, eliminating the need for a babysitter.

Experience the rejuvenating power of mat pilates in the park. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned pro, this is your chance to strengthen your core, improve flexibility, and enjoy the great outdoors.
