This vibrant community continues to thrive and now that the warmer months are returning we are happy to share some of the upcoming events and review those that took place this month. This includes:

 

Dinner at Dusk Port Coogee 

Our regular food truck event in January has already come and gone complete with a spectacular summer storm to provide the fireworks at the end of the evening! Great to see so many gorgeous sunset photos from residents over the summer – what a beautiful piece of the world Port Coogee is!

What events/initiatives do you want to see in Port Coogee?

The newly formed Community Events committee are keen for people with fresh ideas to join the crew! Ideas currently in play include walking groups, social outings, lighting up the Norfolk pines and business networking. You can participate in just one initiative – or more! Depending on your time availability you can pick and choose the projects you’d like to put your efforts into. We’d love to see some parents and teens get involved too so all voices are represented!

Getting Fit for 2024? Parkrun is free!

Parkrun is a free, community event where you can walk, jog, run, volunteer or spectate. Parkrun is 5k and takes place every Saturday morning.

Parkrun is positive, welcoming and inclusive, there is no time limit and no one finishes last. Everyone is welcome to come along.

There is a Parkrun every Saturday morning at South Beach Recreation Reserve if you’d like to get involved. Check out their website here.

 

Cockburn Masters Swimming Club

The Club offers a range of swim options, based at the Cockburn ARC for pool sessions and Coogee Beach Surf Club for ocean swim sessions at Coogee Beach. 

All ages (18+) and abilities are welcome.  

Their aim is to help you set and achieve your own personal swim goals whether involving competition, stroke improvement, triathlons, ocean swims or social swimming. More details available here.
