New interchange on Hume Freeway announced.

It is with great pleasure to share the Federal Government’s $50 million funding announcement for the new Hume Freeway interchange. The upgrade will create south-facing ramps on and off the Hume Freeway at Watson Street, completing the existing north-facing ramps.

Motorists across Wallan will have a shorter, direct route between the Hume Freeway and the entire area, meaning our Wallara Waters residents will be getting home sooner and safer.

Residents should expect to see a reduction in traffic congestion around the Hume Freeway for northbound vehicles exiting the freeway in peak travel times and will also help to ease congestion through the main street of Wallan.
