Can you tell us a bit about the progress on the new dog park?

Construction has commenced at the new dog park in Brookhaven's The Grove precinct, with earthworks and retaining walls currently underway. We received approval for the location and scale of the dog park late last year, marking a significant milestone in our journey. Since receiving approval, we've been diligently working on a detailed design to create a vibrant, community-focused space for the beloved dogs of Brookhaven, which we have since lodged with Logan City Council for final approval.

What can residents expect from this new dog park?

Our goal is to create a safe, enjoyable, and enriching environment for dogs of all breeds, with the park featuring separate areas for large and small dogs. We expect Brookhaven's new dog park to be ready in the first half of 2025. It’s a highly anticipated feature of the neighbourhood, and we can’t wait to host the official opening and welcome our residents and their dogs for their first play date.

Can you give us an update on the construction progress at The Grove?

Our contractor, SEE Civil, is making excellent progress onsite at The Grove. Streetscapes and landscaping are being finalised for the first and second releases, and we will be laying asphalt for the third release shortly. We are expecting settlements to occur on the 164 lots from July through to September. Residents can visit our Property Tracker webpage for regular updates on construction progress and timeframes.

Can you tell us about the fresh new look at Brookhaven?

Now that we’re over halfway complete and home to more than a thousand families, we thought it was timely to refresh our brand, sales office, and website. Everything you know and love about Brookhaven remains the same; we’ve just given it a little glow-up to reflect our growth and evolution as a community.

Lastly, can you share any details about Brookhaven's next precinct?

Tucked at the end of Bahrs Scrub Road, Brookhaven's newest precinct will be aptly called 'The Sanctuary', and is really something special. Home to 130 lots, it will be bordered by meticulously rehabilitated waterway corridors and will feature landscaped open spaces, multi-use trails, a charming pocket park shaded by mature native trees, and a proposed playground all you've come to love about Brookhaven parks. We’re excited to bring the first release to market later this year.
