Landscaping and kids beach progress

The evolving COVID restrictions have had a material impact on the construction industry and our community, however we are continuing to progress our works in accordance with the provisions of the Health Order albeit with a much smaller workforce on site.

This week, the landscaping works are progressing around the harbour edges including planting and turfing, with the final sandblasting of the foreshore promenades being completed.

The “kids beach” in the town centre is being replenished today with fresh sand ready for opening, and the buoys have been moved into position by a specialist diving crew. Also, the sheet piling around the Nautilus building has been completed with the bulk excavation now underway.

We are very much looking forward to opening the harbour area as soon as possible!
