Our dedicated Community Development team at The Waterfront, Shell Cove help in creating an enriching and engaging place to live by facilitating events and communities each month. These regular events offer residents a space to connect with one another and the opportunity to meet new people in the community.
ART SOCIAL – Monthly Encounters at The Waterfront
When: Fourth Friday of the Month | 6:30–8:30pm
Explore your creative side, connect with neighbours, and enjoy guided art sessions in a relaxed, friendly setting! Bring your own project or try something new with instructor-led prompts.
Semester 1 Dates:

Off the back of a sold-out women's health session in November, The Waterfront Shell Cove is proud to be partnering with Pause Nutrition to host a series of in person sessions in Shell Cove dedicated to women's health for 2025!
This first workshop will be run by specialist women's health dietitian Kara Roberts (founder of Pause Nutrition) and is titled 'A weighting game: break free of the dieting and weight regain cycle’.

Holiday Art Workshops with Dani
When: Tuesday 14 January, 9.30am - 11am
& Tuesday 21 January, 3.00pm - 4.30pm
Where: The Waterfront Sales Centre, 100 Cove Boulevard, Shell Cove (opposite Woolies)
Age: 8-12yrs
Cost: $5 per child
Local artist Dani Franza is back for the January holidays with 2 fun workshops for children aged 8-12yrs. Learn about using water colours to create fun effects or have a go at decorating your very own trinket tray.

Where: Grassy area next to Waterfront Tavern & Marina Services Centre. 11 Marina Drive, Shell Cove
Age: 0-5years
Cost: FREE
We’re thrilled to be partnering with Family Services Australia (FSA) to bring the Park & Play program to Shell Cove on Fridays from 9.30am – 11.30am (grassy area next to Waterfront Tavern).
These FREE, fun play sessions for 0-5yrs are creative, healthy and outdoors, helping children learn about the world and each other, build friendships and learn new skills. FSA also connects families with services and supports in their local community.

PromenART Sculpture Walk
The PromenArt Sculpture Walk has returned to The Waterfront, Shell Cove! Featuring over 50 contemporary works, this is your chance to experience works from some of Australia's most talented sculptors right on your doorstep. The event program also includes live art demonstrations, live music, activities, and more. On now until 30 October.

The Georgia Rose Markets
Join us on the last Sunday of the month from 10am to 3pm on the Marina Foreshore (Boardwalk and Southern side of The Waterfront Tavern). Come and enjoy the stunning backdrop of The Waterfront, Shell Cove. It’s the perfect place to catch up with friends, enjoy a stroll, and browse the stalls.

Looking to meet new people and build connections with others in your age group (55+)? Join us for our monthly Solo Seniors Meet-ups at the beautiful Waterfront Tavern. It’s an informal and friendly gathering designed to help you make new friends and enjoy great company.

Shell Cove Community Garden
Love to garden? Everyone is welcome to come along and contribute to the Shell Cove Garden. The gardening group meet every Every Wednesday from 9am-11am and Saturday from 3pm-5pm. Come along and tend to the garden to enjoy its produce.

Looking for a fun, free social activity on a Wednesday morning? Come and join The Waterfront Walkers every Wednesday at 8:30am for a short stroll around the Marina. This is a free, weekly, resident-led walking group. All welcome! Meet at the top of the stairs opposite the kids beach.

Enjoy free weekly pre-school storytime sessions every Tuesday within school term from 10am to 11am at The Waterfront, Shell Cove Sales Centre. Each session will explore new stories and encourage children to interact through song, movement and sensory activities. Suitable for all ages 2-5 years along with parent/caregiver.
