Welcome to our Ed.Square community

Ed.Square is growing into a thriving and well-established community already home to over 1500 proud residents.

The Ed.Square community development program shares a vision for the community to become one that exemplifies healthy and active living, in an environment that is welcoming, social, inclusive and promotes a strong sense of belonging.

In order to cater for these initiatives, various events and activities are organised by our dedicated Community Development Team for all ages to enjoy.

The dedicated Community Development Team work with Ed. residents to develop the events and activities program, by identifying and mobilising community talents, skills and strengths of the residents to ensure people within the community will take control of their future at Ed.Square.

Zumba Classes

Every Friday, 7.00pm to 8:00pm
Come and meet Shivani, one of Ed's lively residents and your new Zumba instructor! Add some zest to your workout routine with guided dance numbers to get your heart racing, regardless of your fitness level.

Meditation classes

Every Tuesday (school term) from 12pm - 1pm
Indulge in an hour of tranquillity through guided meditation. In this class, you'll learn simple yet effective techniques to calm the mind, relax the body, and cultivate inner stillness. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced meditator, everyone is welcome.

Kids music & storytime

First Tuesday of the month from 10am - 10:45am
Join our Music and Storytime program in conjunction with Liverpool City Library. We use songs, action rhymes, simple questions, and games to keep your child engaged and foster early literacy development and social skills. Suited for children aged 2-5.

Community playgroup

Held every Saturday (school term) from 10am - 12pm
Join our weekly playgroup with toys and games for the kids plus tea and coffee for the grown-ups. It’s a great way for kids to make new friends, practice social skills and learn through play. Families with children aged 0-6 welcome. A gold coin donation is appreciated.

Past events and activities

Throughout the year, our Ed.Square residents participate in enjoyable events and activities from parent groups to board game nights, pop-up exhibitions, bowling, kids gardening and more! There’s something for everyone and our dedicated Community Development Team are always on-hand to offer support.

These regular events all contribute to making Ed.Square a vibrant and connected community. There’s always something exciting happening and a lot of friendly faces to meet.

Movie Night

In partnership with headspace Liverpool, a great group of youths came together for a cosy night at the Ed.Square Community Space for a free showing of Spiderman: Across The Spider Verse. It was a great opportunity for local youths to meet new people in the area in a relaxed environment.

International Yoga Day

The community celebrated International Yoga Day with a special partnership with the Australian School of Meditation and Yoga. The day successfully brought together a lovely group of people from all over the Liverpool area to share a beautiful meal and a moment of mindfulness and gentle movement.

Picnic in the Park

Ed.Square townhome and apartment residents came together for a neighbourhood picnic in the park. It was a wonderful resident-led event that was established from our recent Resident Planning Workshop. The event provided the community with an opportunity to meet some new neighbours and also engage in a bit of friendly rivalry with competitions and a beautiful lunch spread.

Toy Swap Launch

It was a great turnout for the launch of our brand new Toy Swap with many kids going home with big smiles while clutching their newly swapped treasures! It’s exciting to see this eco-conscious movement happening at Ed.Square as we all strive to make little changes, reducing waste and taking care of our planet together.

Coffee with a Cop

In partnership with Liverpool City Council, the Local Police Area Command and Degani café at Ed.Square Town Centre, this event was a great opportunity to get to know the faces behind the badges and strengthen connections between law enforcement and the community over a cup of coffee.

Celebrating Eid ul-Fitr

It was a magical atmosphere enjoying delicious halal food to celebrate Eid ul-Fitr. The night also included various activities plus a special presentation by one of Ed’s residents on Eid ul-Fitr and what this celebration means to the local community. Thanks to our organisers who curated this diverse and inclusive event for the whole community.

Potluck Dinner

As an official ‘Very Neighbourly Organisation’, we’re proud to have hosted a cultural ‘pot luck’ dinner for our Ed.Square residents on the weekend. The event brought our community together to promote social connections and embrace the diverse flavours of the world.

End of year party

What a wonderful way to wrap up the year with our community end of year party for 2023! The festive celebration included a live DJ, Christmas punch, gelato, international cuisine, home-made cake and best of all, an incredibly diverse group of people who contributed their time to make the day special for everyone to enjoy.

Community workshop

Our Community Development Team alongside Fourfold Studio held a wonderfully collaborative workshop for residents to foster new connections and build a strong future at Ed.Square while planning the upcoming community program 2024 and enjoying a special gourmet breakfast!

Diwali 2023

The community held a dazzling Diwali celebration at our very own Ed. Community Space! The evening was filled with music, dance, henna, singing and a fashion walk. Plus to get everyone ready for this event, local designer clothing brand, IndoWest held a pop-up store in the community space.

Parenting workshop

A wonderfully diverse group of families came together for an exclusive and informative Parenting Workshop at Ignite Early Learning Centre with expert, Dr Kristy Goodwin. The session offered tailored guidance and practical tips into navigating the digital world with children aged 0-12.

A private screening

A private and cosy screening was shown for Frasers Property's brand new documentary film, The Great Separation. The film prompted many beautiful conversations and ideas about how we can cultivate stronger community connections in our community at Ed.Square.

Paint and sip

Residents came together to connect with their neighbours over a glass of wine and some cheese. The best part of the event - everyone had a gorgeous piece of art to hang up in their homes, a testament to the creativity within our very own ED community!

Board games & pizza

The community of Ed.Square came together to share a fun day filled with laughter, pizza, and board games! It was a wonderful opportunity for both long-time residents and those who had recently moved in to connect with each other, getting to know their neighbours.

Resident bowling day

A great group of old and new residents came together to enjoy a free game of bowling at iPlay in Ed's Town Centre. It was the perfect way for neighbours within the community to meet and build new connections.

Neighbour Day celebrations

Residents joined together to celebrate National Neighbour Day at the Community Space. It’s a day to take small and simple actions in your neighbourhood that can have a big effect on people’s sense of connection and belonging and helps to create stronger communities and happier neighbours.

Coffee with a cop

The Ed. community joined together with local police officers to have a friendly chat over a free cup of coffee. It was a great chance for residents to voice any concerns, raise issues or awareness and get to know the local enforcements.

School holiday workshops

From astounding flipbook animations to building lego blocks and painting rock art, kids from the local area were able to fill up their school holidays with enjoyable workshops at the Ed. Community Space.

Roving Christmas carols

As regular singers with Opera Australia, this female A-Capella group delighted our residents throughout Ed.Square to get them in the festive spirit.

End of year party

An afternoon of fun in the sun for families, children, and residents of all ages came along to celebrate the end of the year in our proudly and intricately designed Gratwick and Alliot Mews.

Crime prevention talk

We invited Crime Prevention Offers from NSW Police - Liverpool PAC to provide safety tips, tricks and resources to build a safer community. We will continue to engage with the NSW Police and other relevant partner organisations.

Halloween dress up

The Ed. Community Space had a full house with over 50 residents, all in their best Halloween costumes. It was a great night for both children and adults to enjoy food, crafts and music together with their neighbours.

Celebrating Diwali

Diwali is acknowledged by many in our local community, and is one of the most significant celebrations in India. Residents of Ed. celebrated Diwali in their best outfits with music, food, henna and an entertaining fashion walk at the Community Space.

Gardening workshops

The Ed. Community Space held exciting gardening workshops for all ages including a wine and cheese night, a kid's gardening class and a very informative Q&A session with qualified horticulturalist, The Veggie lady, Toni Salter.

Humans of Ed. exhibition night

Participants and their families celebrated the unveiling of their portraits and stories as part of the Humans of Ed series, with Ned Mannoun - Mayor of Liverpool officially opening of the exhibition.

Community mural paint & sip

A dedicated wall was left blank in the Community Space to allow for our proud residents to collaborate in artistic fun and paint a new mural.

Opening of the Ed Community Space

Residents came together for the opening of their new Community Space which provides a dedicated place to facilitate events and activities as part of the Community Development Program at Ed.Square.

Resident's bowling night

The first Ed.Square residents bowling night at iPlay was a great turnout. Many residents came together and enjoyed a night off to meet their neighbours for a fun and easy activity.

Sunset balcony party

We welcomed our first Ed.Square residents to the community with our Sunset Balcony Party! Residents enjoyed performances by DJ Brett Martin and The Hot Potato Roaming Band from the comfort of their own balconies while playing Balcony Bingo via a live stream to the Residents Facebook Page.

Humans of Ed.

The Humans of Ed. is a portrait and storytelling series celebrating identity, diversity and connection in the growing Ed.Square community. Residents and retailers have been captured in a backdrop of landmarks at Ed.Square, and share their stories of home, community and belonging.

Ed.Square Community Space

This purpose-built space in the heart of Ed.Square has provided a place for residents to come together and enjoy various community events, programs, workshops and more! With fantastic facilities including a kitchen, lounge area, children's play area, TV screen and meeting table, the space has provided many opportunities for the Ed. community to thrive. Ed welcomes those who wish to hire the space for community focused programs or events. The Ed.Square Community Space is not available for private hire.
