As we walk upon Dharug land, we honour the deep connection of the Dharug people to this country. 💛 During a walk on country with the Dharug Cultural Advisory Group, a recommendation was made to place acknowledgment of country signs at all entry points in Midtown MacPark. Three totem poles now mark these entry points, each with a plaque in duel language provided by Dharug elder Leanne Watson. The artwork on these poles, created by Dalmarri, incorporates symbols and imagery that reflect the heritage of the Wallumedegal people, celebrating their enduring connection to this land. #Midtown #MidtownMacPark #Macquarie #DharugLand
