Port Coogee Community Update - September 2024
Welcome to our September Community Update. We've had a wonderful start to Spring and there's lots more to look forward to as the weather warms up!
The Dinner at Dusk food truck event season started with a bang on the 2nd Friday in September! A perfect evening with the ‘always perfect’ Port Coogee sunset made for a magical evening and great community vibes.
Christmas 10K Swim
Port Coogee proudly sponsors “WA’s best 10km Rottnest qualifier and popular festive community swim”. The experienced team behind the Christmas 10K just simply love swimming and organising events so they created this event for you, the swimming community. It's a cracker of a swim run by swimmers, for swimmers. We are all looking forward to the biggest and best ever Christmas 10K on Saturday 21 December 2024. The event again offers something for everyone, with 3 different race distances to choose from: 10km, 3.4km and 1600m in the pristine waters of beautiful Coogee Beach.

Friday 11th October 2024 | Dinner at Dusk
Dinner at Dusk is back, with all the best food trucks in Perth. Runs from 4.30pm – 8.30pm, every second Friday of the month up until May. Located on Chieftain Esplanade, Port Coogee.

Thursday 24th October | Port Coogee Community Association AGM
PCCA Annual General Meeting will be held at Regis on 24th October 2024. Join us at 6.30pm for a 7pm prompt commencement. There will be a special guest presentation.
NOTICE TO MEMBERS: Nominations are now open for the 2024/25 committee. The group are requesting a couple more committee members to join and if you have a little time to spare, they’d love to hear from you. It’s an enjoyable way to give back to your community and no special skills are required - just your passion for Port Coogee. Please contact secretary@portcoogeeca.com.au for more information.
Thursday 31st October 2024 | Coogee Beach Surf Life Saving Club- Halloween Spooktacular Disco!
If you don't want to be walking the street knocking on doors for treats, Coogee Beach Surf Life Saving Club is the place to be this Halloween. There will be a DJ and heaps of games to enjoy. Balcony & Bar open from 5.30pm to 8.30pm with scary food trucks.

General Construction Works
Waterfront Park
The waterfront park, located to the north of the peninsula is currently in the final stages of design and will deliver expansive green space and picnic areas to the community. We will update you with timings for completion, once construction commences.
Tavern Site
This is in the Design Phase and we will share more information from the owners once this has been finalized.
Rubbish
This delicate coastal environment relies on the general public to do the right thing. Ideally, if you are outdoors, please take your rubbish home and dispose of responsibly. If not, please seek a bin for your waste removal. If it’s full, then seek out another bin to dispose of your waste. Together, we can protect the marine life and the environment in general.
