Lantern Markets Feb 9
The Summer edition of the Lantern Markets on Friday Feb 9th was a great success.
With families back in full-swing of routine following the return to the 2018 school year it was a welcome start to the weekend. The weather was a little bit windy but the Big Kahuna Waterslide proved a big hit. The inclusion of palette furniture set a really relaxed vibe in the eating area and lots of families walked or rode their bikes down with their own picnic blankets to enjoy dinner together with their neighbours.
An estimated 500 - 600 people attended over the 3 hours and the event featured local musicians Jake Hatch and India Bradshaw, a tasty mix of food trucks and crafty market stalls and a very pleasant Summer evening was had by all.
The final Lantern Market for the season will be held on Good Friday March 30th – don’t be late for this very important date! It will be themed Mad Hatter to tie in to Easter see Facebook event here.
