What’s happening

Site investigations for the new station will commence in late March 2024 and continue through early July 2024. These investigations involve surveying the ground conditions to understand the soil and rock composition at the project site.

A dedicated team of approximately eight personnel will be conducting these investigations using excavators and geotechnical drill rigs. In addition to the initial site work, you may also observe further site investigations, including feature surveys and soil and water testing.

Timeline

Work will take place from Monday, March 25, 2024, to early July 2024, subject to weather conditions. Operating hours will be from 8am to 6pm.

What to Expect

During the investigation phase, you can anticipate:

  • Presence of work crews, machinery, and construction vehicles, including trucks
  • Temporary fencing around work zones for community and crew safety
  • Moderate noise levels, akin to a truck engine, with occasional louder drilling sounds when encountering rock
