The Great Separation outdoor movie night

SUNDAY, MARCH 10, 2024 | BALDIVIS PARKS, WA
On a gorgeous West Australian Sunday evening, residents of Baldivis Parks and local community groups enjoyed a screening of The Great Separation. With free popcorn and great conversations afterwards, this documentary is a great tool for opening discussions about mental health and human connection. 

Several notable guests attended the event, including local Baldivis Ward Councillor Mike Creighton and his family, the Baldivis Lions, the Rock the Boat Film Festival organisers, and the City of Rockingham Mental Health team. Overall, it was a wonderful evening filled with entertainment, education, and community spirit.

Pacific Festival in the park

Kia ora!
Our Pacific-themed Lantern Markets at Baldivis Parks was a big hit with our Baldivis Parks community and their whanau! Despite the 39-degree heat, the Ngaru Pou performance team stole the hearts of all who attended with their celebration of Maori culture. With Waiata, Haka performances, Poi & Haka workshops, kiwi crafts activities and a fundraising Moko stall it was great evening. It was also great to have resident Jacob Pihema entertain the crowd into the evening.

Ngaru Pou's performance team hails from the local Baldivis, Kwinana and Rockingham areas and represents a significant demographic of the local population. They were wonderful (and very moving) ambassadors of culture and a proud representation of our upstanding local teenagers. Such a fierce and proud performance!
