Construction Update

Welcome to the latest Wallara Waters Construction Update.

We’re excited to keep you informed about how the project is progressing, give you insights into the construction process and ensure you’re up to date with the development of your new community.

Construction Progress

Site remediation works and bulk earthworks have completed in Stage 22 and on the future school site.
Sewer works are 95% complete and stormwater drainage, water & gas works are 75% complete.
Pavement construction has commenced and services conduits are 75% complete.
The settlement date is anticipated to be Q1 2025.

Community Centre Announcement

The State Government has allocated an extra $9.6m for the future Wallan East Family and Children Centre. This is in addition to previous funding from the Growing Suburbs fund. The $11m+ project will be funded by the State Government's Growing Suburbs Fund and Growth Areas Infrastructure Contribution Fund, along with support from Mitchell Shire Council. We will keep our community updated when we have a timeline for when we expect this Community Centre will be open.

Future Government School Announcement

The VSBA has announced progress that the Primary School will open in 2026 and is set to hold places for 525 students. Information on enrolment will be released in 2025. In the meantime you can stay up to date with latest updates and progress on the VSBA’s website.
