Shell Cove Construction Update - Ancora Apartments

Welcome to the latest Construction Update.

We are pleased to share a long-awaited construction update detailing progress since late 2023. While site activity had paused in recent weeks, we are delighted to report that workers are back on site, and momentum is growing once again.

A new joiner has been appointed, a key resource required that contributed to the recent delays experienced. This crucial trade will now facilitate the installation of kitchens in Building A and the completion of joinery in Building’s B & C.

Over the past few months, significant progress has been made on landscaping, completely transforming Ancora’s appearance.

Building B & C

Apartments in Buildings B and C have taken shape, boasting beautiful colour schemes and material selections. The installation of bathroom fixtures and finishes provides a glimpse into the layout and design of wet areas, now awaiting final touches and fit-off.

The lobbies and corridors in Buildings B & C are nearly complete, along with external paving and glass balustrades on the balconies.

Building A

Floor and wall tiling for bathrooms and ensuites are underway on all levels, while flooring installation has begun on levels 1 and 2. Balconies are waterproofed, with most of the glass balustrades installed.

Building A experienced internal work delays, including joinery, white goods installation, stone benchtops, and bathroom fixtures. We anticipate commencement of joinery installation for kitchens and bathrooms in the coming months, helping to bring us one step closer to completion.

External Works

The landscaping and concrete paths have greatly enhanced Ancora's overall appearance. Planter boxes are waterproofed and filled. Paving of external common areas, pool tiling, external stairs, and adjoining paving is scheduled to start soon.

Landscaping around Building’s B & C has progressed very well. Scaffolding still remains on Building A, as the external cladding contractors are nearing completion of the installation of the final pieces of wall cladding in the coming months. Furthermore, the cladder is prioritising the installation of wall cladding and parapets on all three buildings. Once the scaffolding is removed from Building A, the external works and landscaping teams will transition from Building B to those of Building A.
